Get to Know Dr. Gerald Rausch
As our dental practice’s clinical director, Dr. Gerald Rausch provides leadership and a passionate example for the rest of our team. He has been serving Stone Mountain dental patients for more than 41 years and has enjoyed working with our outstanding patients and support team five days a week for all that time.
Why Did You Become a Dentist?
When Dr. Rausch was 14, he received braces and watched how the dentist, dental assistants, and other patients interacted and realized that the field would be a good match for his future. He decided then and there to become a dentist, and he’s happy with his decision.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Although he originally comes from Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Rausch has called Georgia home for a long time. In fact, he attended the University of Georgia for his bachelor's degree and the Medical College of Georgia for his dental studies. Every year since then, he has dedicated extra time to advanced training and continuing education to keep his skills and knowledge up to date.
What Do You Do Outside the Office?
Dr. Rausch is happily married and has three children and four grandchildren, whom he loves to spend time with. In the past, he has traveled to India for mission work and charity work at a hospital and dental clinic and found this very rewarding.
